The Functional Foods Forum of the University of Turku has a unit In Seinäjoki, led by professor Anu Hopia. In addition to research, the unit actively executes projecst where it utilizes the latest scientific knowledge to enhance the growth, competitiveness and internationalization of the food sector.

Umeå University School of Restaurant and Culinary Arts brings into the project its practical gastronomy and artisan know-how combined with a scientific approach on cooking and hospitality. Within Food Bait, the School develops workshops in concept and context development.

Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education and an efficient actor in education and research, development and innovation in the region of South Ostrobothnia in West Finland. It has a strong focus on the business environment of the region. In the Food Bait project, the Seinäjoki UAS School of Business and Culture ja School of Food and Agriculture focus on the business development and remote learning.
